- Classification: Recognize and classify infected spaces as mild, moderate, or severe.
- Referral: Appreciate when infections should be referred to a more skilled provider.
- Hallmark Signs: List the hallmark clinical signs of infection.
- Delayed Infections: Identify and manage delayed postoperative infections.
- Prevention: Limit delayed postoperative infections through proper surgical technique and perioperative care.
